Thomas C. Quick is a retired Vice Chairman of Quick & Reilly/Fleet Securities, Inc.  In 1998 Quick & Reilly became part of Fleet now FleetBoston Financial Corporation (NYSE:FBF) one of the nation’s largest and most successful financial services firms and holding company of one of the nation’s largest banks prior to its’ acquisition by Bank of America Corporation.

From 1996 to 1998 when the firm was acquired by Fleet, Mr. Quick was President and Chief Operating Officer of The Quick & Reilly Group, Inc., the New York Stock Exchange-listed holding company for the firm’s securities businesses.  From 1985 to 1996 he was President of Quick & Reilly, Inc., one of the leading national discount brokerage firm.

Quick & Reilly/Fleet Securities subsidiaries and affiliates included Quick & Reilly, Inc., the national brokerage firm with 118 Investor Centers nationwide and a leading Internet brokerage site; U.S. Clearing which provides clearing and execution services for more than 390 banks and brokerage firms nationwide; Fleet Meehan Specialist one of the largest specialist operations on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange making markets in the stocks of 430 NYSE-listed companies including Coca-Cola, General Electric, General Motors, Johnson & Johnson and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.; Fleet Trading a leading NASDAQ market maker now making markets in 3,500 over the counter stocks; and Fleet Securities which includes institutional trading and a municipal bond unit.

Mr. Quick received a bachelor’s degree in business from Fairfield University in 1977.

Mr. Quick serves as a Trustee of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratories, the National Corporate Theater Fund. He is a member of the Board of Directors of The Inner-City Scholarship Foundation and a member of its Endowment Fund.  Other Board affiliates are The American Ireland Fund, Boston; and Hospice of Palm Beach County, Dreher Park Zoo, West Palm Beach, Florida; Norton Museum and Best Buddies.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of Senesco Technologies, Inc. and B F Enterprises, Inc.
