Medical Research Awards Announced

2016 grants total more than $2 million

In 2016, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation celebrates 20 years of funding life-saving cancer research.

The Foundation recently announced new grants totaling more than $2 million to some of the nation's most promising physician-scientists whose work focuses on less toxic treatments for leukemia, lymphoma and related cancers. Click here for the press release. 

These include seven new Medical Research Awards at $225,000 each, eight one-year grants totaling $160,000, and support of various other programs and symposia. Additional recipients include The Emily Whitehead Foundation; funding for an art therapist at Cohen Children's Medical Center; and program support for the Institute for Cancer Survivorship at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami, FL.
